Generally Google adwords tool used for publish paid add by Google. But we use it for researching keyword by keyword planner tool and it’s fully freely. Keyword planner is the tool of Google adwords. 

After completing sign in Google adwords you will get an interface or page where you will see some option or tool upper site of page, this time you just click on "tools" option and then click "keyword planner". And then click “search for a new keyword and ad group ideas” then, you will get a search box. Where you can write your “word” for research, after then go below and click “get idea” option. If you want you can change your "location option", you can write your specific country name and then click "get idea" option. By - default "all location" always remain select. Now which interface or page you will get there “ad group ideas” always remain select. But you should to click "keyword ideas" option for research keyword. Now you will get idea about your keyword, how many searches it in every month and how is it’s competition level etc. many things.
